3 Hour CE Elective - This course aims to focus on the importance and history of the Federal Fair Housing Act and its application in today's real estate environment. We will discuss how the Department of Housing and Urban Development enforces the Federal Fair Housing Act as well as review the most common discriminatory practices like service and assistive animals and how to best handle a reasonable accommodation request.  We will also examine examples of Federal Fair Housing complaints and discuss Federal Fair Housing initiatives and resources.

This course meets the (new) NAR Fair Housing training requirement for 2025-2027 (cycle 8)

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Any registrant arriving more than 10 minutes after the seminar begins will not be issued a certificate of completion. Any registrant who does not stay for the entire seminar or who takes excessive breaks will not be issued a certificate of completion. CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS: Deadline to cancel or transfer registrations is two working days prior to the event. After deadline, no refunds will be given. COURSE CANCELLATION: GGAR reserves the right to cancel a course if there is not a minimum number of students. If an emergency warrants the rescheduling of a course, all possible care will be taken to advise you as soon as possible and monies will be refunded to registrants.
