Here is how to make your online course run smoothly:
1. COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE COURSE
You must complete all of the content within the course in order to receive credit. Be aware that if you are inactive in a course for twenty minutes, the course will time out and you will need to log back in.
In the Table of Contents within your course, on the left, you can click the + sign to expand each section. On the right hand side, you will see check marks turn from gray to black as you complete each section. You can also follow the percentage icon which will increase for every portion completed in each section, and clicking the bar chart will show you how much time you spent in that unit. The most common problem is failure to complete all units, especially end of unit exams. Please note that the Mandatory course (core course) does require an exam to pass with 70%.
Please be sure to provide an evaluation at the completion of the course content through the Feedback node in the course.
2. ACCEPT YOUR AFFIDAVIT
You are required to accept an electronic affidavit as part of the completion of this course stating you have completed each assigned module of instruction. You will need to complete this step before your course is Complete. At this point, if you have finished the course, you will receive a completion confirmation within 20 minutes. If you do not receive this completion confirmation, go back to the Table of Contents, expand it, and check to see if there are unfinished units.
3. RECEIVE YOUR COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE
Once you complete all course content and accepted your affidavit, we will provide your completion certificate by email the next business day. We will also upload your course completion to the state’s renewal site. In addition, we keep a copy of your records for five years in case of audit.
